PURPOSE:To obtain a wire material of a high Tc (critical temperature) and of flexibility by sticking and firing an oxide superconductive layer around thin ceramic fibers having heat resistance, oxidation resistance, and flexibility. CONSTITUTION:Oxide superconductive powder and organic binder are mixed to make slurry. Ceramic fibers are passed through the slurry to make the slurry of oxide superconductor stick around the ceramic fibers. The material is then heated to decompose the organic binder contained in the slurry and is further heated in the ambient atmosphere or in an oxygen atmosphere up to a temperature at which the oxide superconductive powder is sintered to obtain a wire material with the oxide superconductive layer formed around the ceramic fibers. This makes it possible to easily obtain the wire material having flexibility to some extent, a high Tc, and no electric resistance. |
