<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a printer from generating the deficiency and blur in printing when an ink tank containing a liquid ink is subjected to change in temperature or change with time as well as in an initial state, by determining a specific sodium ion concentration in the liquid ink. CONSTITUTION:A recording ink is mainly composed of a water, a water-soluble dye, and a lubricant, and the total concentration of sodium ion contained in the respective composition is determined to be 0.001-0.2wt.% to the total amount of the ink. The occurrence of insolubles depends on the composition and sodium concentration of the ink in tank However, if the total amount of a fatty acid such as a calcium stearate and the derivative thereof contained in a fat or rubber material forming the ink tank is in the range of 10-100ppm, there is no practical problem because of no production of insolubles preventing the flow of an ink system of an ink jet printer.</p> |
