PURPOSE:To easily obtain a high quality image excellent in sharpness of image by forming a developer applying layer which is applied on a non-magnetic sleeve only with non-magnetic photoconductive toner not including magnetic grains, and eliminating relative motion between the photoconductive toner and the non-magnetic sleeve. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic field does not exist in an area from a developer specifying member 6 to a transfer part and the photoconductive toner 5 is non-magnetic. Moreover, the developer applying layer which is applied on the non-magnetic sleeve 1 consists only of the non-magnetic photoconductive toner 5 not including the magnetic grains 4. Then, a self rotating motion does not occur in the movement of the photoconductive toner 5 following the rotation of the non-magnetic sleeve 1 and the relative motion does not occur between the photoconductive toner 5 and the non-magnetic sleeve 1. Thus, the photoconductive toner 5 can be shifted to a transfer part as it maintains the resolution in an optical image irradiation part and the transfer on a transfer sheet 7 is made possible without lowering the sharpness of image. |
