<p>PURPOSE:To improve the operability of a tape driving device by incorporating a small-sized tape cassette adapter for loading a small-sized tape cassette on the device. CONSTITUTION:When a standard tape cassette 45 is inserted into an insertion slot 3, a driving arm 13 rotates counterclockwise and the standard tape cassette 45 which is guided by grooves 10 and 11 and held by a cassette holder 7 is loaded on a tape driving mechanism 4 as shown by an alternate long and short dash line. a small-sized tape cassette 33 is only inserted into the cassette holder 42 of the incorporated small-sized tape cassette adapter 20 from the insertion slot 3 as well. In this case, the magnetic tape is drawn out by rotary arms 29 and 31, drawing-out pins 30 and 32, etc., arranged in the adapter 20 nearly along the tape traveling path of the standard tape cassette. Further, when the small-sized tape cassette holder 42 faces the insertion slot 3, a part which does not face it is covered with the wall part 50 of the rear part of the upper half 21 of the adapter 20, so malfunction at the time of the insertion is precluded.</p> |
