PURPOSE:To obtain a resin composition of high water resistance, by incorporating polyethylene with ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer and ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer or ethylene-ethyl acrylate copolymer. CONSTITUTION:The objective resin composition for use as an electrical insulation material can be obtained by incorporating (A) polyethylene with (B) ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer and (C) ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer or ethylene-ethyl acrylate copolymer in such amounts that the vinyl alcohol content and vinyl acetate or ethyl acrylate content are 0.2-8wt.% and 0.2-8wt.% in the final composition, respectively, and, furthermore, if needed, (D) such ingredient(s) as crosslinking agent (e.g. dicumyl peroxide), anti-deteriorating agent or crosslinking aid. |
