PURPOSE:To produce a powder molded article readily providing a good surface shape in pouring slurry of powder for sintering to a cavity and removing liquid to give a molded article, specifying width of a linear slit for removing liquid. CONSTITUTION:A vacuum pump 35 is driven, a vacuum sucking chamber 19 is made into a negative pressure and a cavity 18 is evacuated through linear slits 15, 20 and 21 and a channel 17B. In this state, slurry 38 consisting of sintering powder (any of various metallic powder having >=10mu average particle diameter), a binder and an organic solvent is packed from a cylinder device 36 for feeding slurry into the cavity 10. The slurry is pressurized by a plunger 14 and a liquid component in the slurry 38 is discharged from the slits 15, 20 and 21 to mold a powder molded article. In the operation, width S of the slits 15, 20 and 21 is made in 10mu<=S<=3d when the average particle diameter of the sintering powder is (d). Consequently, the powder molded article having excellent surface properties free from foam on the surface is readily molded. |
