PURPOSE:To detect the size and direction of acceleration, by sealing a magnetic fluid into a large-dia. part at the center of a closed pipeline to arrange magnetic detectors at tubules extending horizontally and vertically from the large-dia. part. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic fluid 3 is sealed into a large-dia. portion 1a at the center of a closed pipeline 1 made of a nonmagnetic material and magnet couples 4a, 4b, 5a, 5b, 6a, 6b, 7a and 7b are arranged at specified points of tubules 1b-1e extending from the large-dia. part 1a. Magnetic detectors are composed of bias magnets 8a-11a and magnetoresistance elements 8b-11b and arranged symmetrically at the specified points of the tubules 1b-1e of the closed pipeline 1. Acceleration works in the direction Xa and when an action force by the acceleration overcomes a coercive force with the magnet couples, the magnetic fluid 3 is displaced in the acceleration of Xb, opposite to the direction of the acceleration and a part thereof floss out to the tubule 1d of Xb. This enables the generation of an output voltage proportional to the working acceleration in a bridge detection circuit made up of the magnetoresistance elements. |
