<p>PURPOSE:To prevent occurrence of skew and abnormal approaching of paper sheet by employing a position contactable with a paper sheet in the rear of a high friction member arranged at a portion of a pick-up roller as a separation starting position and feeding the paper sheet to a separation roller arranged in the downstream. CONSTITUTION:A separating section is formed with a feed roller 1 having a high friction material 1a partially on the circumference and a gate roller 2 having high friction material on the entire circumference. A pick-up roller 5 partially having a high friction material 5a is supported rollably by the shaft 3 of the roller 1 through a bracket 4, and pressed through a spring 6 against a group of paper currency 7. Shafts 3, 9 of the rollers 1, 5 rotate synchronously through pulleys 10a, 10b and a belt 11. When the roller 5 rotates from a separation starting position where the high friction material 5a is contacting with the paper currency 7, uppermost paper currency 7 advances to the separating section where skew of paper currency is corrected and enters into the separating section. Second and following paper currencies are fed with proper interval through synchronous rotation. Consequently, skew of first paper currency can be corrected and the paper currencies can be separated with proper interval.</p> |
