The means of extension of the umbrella which is the subject of this invention comprises a structure 1 composed of spokes 2 held together by a central crown 3 placed around the mast of the umbrella 4. The ends 5 and 6 of the spokes 2 are hinged to allow the whole to be folded. A base structure 7 is composed of spokes 8 held together by a central crown 9 thanks to hinge points 10 and 11; the whole can be folded. The vertical members 12 are connected to cross members 13 and 14 which can be folded onto the vertical members 12. A strengthened frame 15 comprising vertical members 16 and cross members 17 folds at 18 and forms a folding camp bed. The fabric covering has port holes 19 intended to light the inside of the shelter. <IMAGE>
