PURPOSE: To easily create a dental outer cap having high crushability resistance by forming a bend line on a composite metal foil where a coating layer is superposed on one surface of a metal substrate to be taken as a dental coping, putting the dental coping on an applied tooth die to be fitted, and applying a veneer material to the surface thereof. CONSTITUTION: A metal foil segment is preferably circular, and formed by a metal substrate 2 which is a thin foil and a thin coating layer 3 superposed on the metal substrate 2. The metal foil segment 1 is bent in a designated form having plural bend lines for forming the dental coping 4. The previously formed dental coping 4 is put on the prepared tooth die 5, and an area 9 having no pleat is located on the top of the die 5, that is, on the occlusion end part 12. Subsequently, the respective flaps 7 are tightly wound round the periphery of the die 5 to form the arrangement of overlapping flaps 7. The dental coping 4 is detached from the die 5 to form a self-standing structure 11, and the self- standing structure 11 is sintered. After a heating process, the ceramic material is directly applied to the structure according to an ordinary method to form an outer cap. |
