PURPOSE:To prevent erroneous detection of jamming even when a document is stopped temporarily in order to synchronize the document and a copy paper by temporarily interrupting operation of a jam handling means when feeding of document is temporarily stopped through a stopping means. CONSTITUTION:A document inserted through a document inserting guide board 1 and carried through a circulation carry path comprising document carry rollers 2-7 is detected sequentially through detecting means PS1-PS6, while document carrying time is counted through a count means. When the count reaches to a predetermined count, a jam handling means judges occurrence of jam then a document carry motor M1 is stopped and jamming is indicated. When carrying of document is temporarily stopped in order to synchronize images on the document and a copy paper, operation of jam handling means is interrupted temporarily. Consequently, jamming is not detected erroneously even if the document is stopped temporarily in order to synchronize the images on the document and the copy paper, and thereby synchronization can be made with out trouble. |
