PURPOSE:To improve the sensitivity, the graininess and the color reproducibility of the titled material by incorporating a specified coupler and a specified silver halide particle in the titled material. CONSTITUTION:The coupler shown by formula I is incorporated in one or more layers of photosensitive silver halide emulsion layers, and the specified silver halide particle (a) is incorporated in one or more layers of said emulsion layers. And, the particle (a) is composed of silver halide contg. 10-40mol.% silver iodide in the part of a more inner side of a core. The part of the core is coated with the silver halide contg. the lesser silver iodide. And, the surface of said particle is composed of the silver halide contg. >=5mol.% the silver iodide. In the formula, A is a coupler residual group, TIME is a timing group, B is a group shown by formulas II and III, etc., (n) is 0 or 1, X1 is a (1-4C substd.) aliphatic or a substd. phenyl group, X2 is hydrogen atom or an aliphatic group, etc., (m) is 1 or 2.
