DNA CAPABLE OF CODING RINDERPEST VIRUS ANTIGENIC PROTEIN

PURPOSE:To obtain a cDNA capable of coding all or part of H-protein of rinderpest viruses and all or part of F-protein thereof. CONSTITUTION:A cDNA is prepared from an mRNA of a rinderpest virus L13 strain using an oligodT-tail (T=17) pCDV-1 and oligodG-tail (G=12) pL-1 HindIII linker as a vector and then subjected to plaque hybridization using an SSPE-H-cDNA probe of CVD-F-cDNA probe to provide a hybridizable Escherichia.coli DH-RVH (FERM BP-1165) or Escherichia.coli DH-RVF (FERM BP-1164). A plasmid pDH-RVH of about 2.2kb capable of coding H-protein (hemagglutinin protein) and plasmid pDH-RVF of about 1.8kb capable of coding F-protein (fusion protein) are obtained from the above-mentioned clone.
