PURPOSE:To provide a battery pack with excellent safety by using as material to battery case a denaturated polyphenylene oxide resin containing 10-40wt.% styrene. CONSTITUTION:Existing invention consists of organic electrolyte batteries 6 and battery cases 1, 2 made of denaturated polyphenylene oxide resin containing 10-40wt.% styrene. This polyphenylene oxide is very stable with respect to organic electrolyte, and eventual leak thereof from the batteries does not cause dissolution of the cases nor initiation of cracks because of bulging, that should lead to suppression of damage to peripheral apparatus to possible minimum. The heat resistance is over 100 deg.C by temp. index, which enables service at high temps. |
