PURPOSE:To prepare a dense and durable material with a positive temperature coefficient without destroying the crystal structure by processing a BaPbo3 composition on a hot isostatic press under predetermined conditions. CONSTITUTION:A BaPbO2 composition having high Curie temperature around 700 deg.C and exhibiting positive temperature coefficient is processed on a hot isostatic press under the conditions of pressure beyond 10atm, temperature ranging 700-1000 deg.C and oxygen concentration beyond 1%. This produces a dense, strong and durable BaPbO2 sinter with a positive temperature coefficient, whose crystalline structure is not affected by reduction. |
