PURPOSE:To prevent oscillation of a mirror body by supporting the third gear adapted to clamp the teeth of the second gear in cooperation with the first gear on a support shaft of a door mirror, and disposing the third gear between the first gear end its engaging spring. CONSTITUTION:The third gear 12 is supported on a support shaft 4 of a mirror body 5 in such a manner as to mesh with the second gear 11 with the first gear 8. The third gear 12 is urged in the direction of approaching the first gear 8 by an engaging spring 17. When a mirror body is turned to a level-down position and a motor 10 is stopped, the third gear 12 is returned to its initial position by the spring 17, and the teeth 11a of the second gear 11 is clamped by the first and third gears 8, 12. At this time, the second gear 11 is pressed by the third gear 12. Accordingly, the angular displacement can be absorbed by backlash in a reduction gear train 9. Thus, looseness of the second gear 11 to the support shaft 4 can be absorbed to prevent oscillation of the mirror body. |
