PURPOSE: To teach a running object plural running speeds at one time by driving a row of lamps to be lighted for the lighting period set by sections in one operating condition, and running and lighting the row of lamps from one end to the other end in the other operating condition. CONSTITUTION: An oscillating circuit 15 outputs a high-level signal in three quarter periodτ2 of one oscillation cycleτ1 determined by a volume V1 and a low-level signal in one quarter periodτ3. The signal is divided into four lines by an output signal select part 16 to be parallel-inputted to a pattern setting circuit 17, different phases are set by each line, a voltage waveform is obtained in lamps A-D from an output control circuit 18 through lines lA-lD, the lamps are lighted during the high-level period and lighted out during the low-level period. One lamp group among the lamps A-D is lighted out, and three lamp groups are lighted to realize the running and lighting in the direction of an arrow R1. The speed is changed by operating a volume V1 to vary the oscillation cycleτ1 of the signal of an oscillation circuit 15.
