PURPOSE:To obtain an optical information recording medium excellent in decomposition stability during vapor deposition, recording sensitivity and long- term preservability, by providing a recording layer containing a mixture comprising a metal and a specific metal compound such as metal boride on a support. CONSTITUTION:A recording layer containing a mixture consisting of a metal (A) (pref., indium) and one or more metal compound (B) selected from a metal boride (pref., TiB2, ZrB2), a metal silicide (pref., B6Si), a metal carbide (pref., VC) and a metal nitride (pref., Si3N4) (the component B is pref. contained in an amount of 10-40vol%) is provided on a support pref. through an intermediate layer pref. comprising halogenated polyolefin or chlorinated rubber and pref. having a thickness of 0.2-30mum pref. in a thickness of 100-1,000Angstrom by sputtering. |
