Polymers containing imide groups without diamine and process for their preparation

New thermally stable polymers containing imide groups. More precisely, these polymers are obtained by reaction, at a temperature ranging from 50 DEG C to 300 DEG C, between: (a) an N,N'-bismaleimide, (b) an acrylate reactant consisting especially of a novolac epoxy (meth)acrylate, and (c) an imidazole compound. These polymers are advantageously employed for the production of laminates.
