This device is of the type comprising a first sear 17 and a second sear 18 which are capable of retaining, in a cocked position, respectively a first hammer 15 and a second hammer 16, a tripping device 13, 14 associated with each sear and mounted on the corresponding trigger 11, 12, a head 25 provided on each tripping device 13, 14 and acting on one of the ends of the corresponding sear 17, 18 with a view to releasing the corresponding hammer towards a percussion position. According to the invention, each tripping device 13, 14 has an auxiliary head 29 capable of bearing on the sear 17, 18 associated with the other tripping device 13, 14 following the actuation of the corresponding sear 17, 18 to the percussion. <IMAGE>
