The skip has a reservoir for mixed concrete and a pouring duct with an outlet wider than its top end. This produces a suction effect at the throat between the duct and reservoir and draws the remainder of the concrete down for efficient pouring. The duct is fitted with servo-operated flaps driven by a power unit on the skip. The flaps are driven electrically or hydraulically, with the hydraulic pump powered by an electric motor (24).
