The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing upholstering components made from leather or other non-elastic material covering. According to this method the body of the component is formed by injecting expanded cellular material into a mould then there is positioned on the moulded body a cover made from leather or some other non-elastic material. This method is characterised by the fact that before the material is injected into the mould there is inserted into this mould a covering made from lightweight fabric, or charmeuse, then the cover is fitted without difficulty onto the body with a non-sticky external wall thus obtained.
