The framework 2, which is intended to be fixed to the movable arm 1 of a manipulator, has a bracket-shaped outline in order to carry two sets of pneumatic suckers 3, 4, the suckers 4 carried by the vertical flange being greater in number than those 3 of the horizontal flange. In this way damage to the more delicate upper face of conventional cardboard boxes is avoided. <IMAGE>
