Automatic reloading of weft yarn injection tube during retraction

In a weft yarn loading system involving phenumatic injection via a flexible tube deployed from the rim of an oscillating wheel, successive lengths of yarns are introduced into the flexible tube as it is being retracted back on the rim of the wheel. The leading end of the residual yarn is gripped mechanically as the tube recoils. Pref. the grip is provided by a group of warp yarns involved in forming the selvedge of the fabric. Reduces the stresses applied to the yarn compared with high speed pneumatic or mechanical reloading after the guide tube has been retreated.
