Strengthened hollow bodies of polyolefins are prepared by the expansion and subsequent cooling of heated hollow bodies, the expansion being carried out at a temperature between that. which just avoids a neck formation and the crystallite melting point. Specified polyolefins are polyethylene, polypropylene, ethylene-propylene copolymers, all preferably low-pressure polymers, and mixtures with one another or with polyvinyl chloride. |
