The coupling flange is made from an extruded metal profile strip with one long flange (1) at right angles to the duct axis and one shorter flange (2) which carries open grooved profiles (6,7) on each side. The transverse flange runs around the four sides of the rectangular duct and is gripped at the ends by L-shaped coupling pieces. The double grip grooves have clamping strips (23,25) pressed in to secure the inner and outer walls of the double walled flexible duct (21,22). The coupling profile also has a double walled section (11) which slides over the ends of the rigid rectangular duct. ADVANTAGE - Low cost, versatile, strong support between rigid and flexible duct.
