The known opening aids provided on parallelepipedic packaging containers (1) are designed as tear-off strips which project from said packaging containers and via which a tensile force is to be applied in order to make a tear-off opening. Corresponding to the strength of the packaging material, these tear-off strips must be designed to have a relatively large area to transmit a sufficient tensile force. In the case of a packaging container (1) according to the invention, a tear-off plate (9) is integrated completely in one tip (8) which communicates with the interior of the container (1). Producing a tear-off opening is achieved by introducing a bending movement into the tip (8), during which process the cutting edges (11) of the tear-off plate (9) are pressed into the packaging material and thus make it possible to open the container (1). The pivoting of the tip (9) which allows the tearing-off can be carried out with little effort. <IMAGE>
