An alkali metal salt, alkaline earth metal salt or quaternary ammonium salt of a compound of the formula <IMAGE> in which: A<*> = H; F; Cl; Br; I or <IMAGE> Rf denotes a perfluoroalkylene radical having 2 to 10 carbon atoms or A<*> and Rf together denote a perfluoro-3,6-dimethyl-1,4-dioxan-2-yl radical, p = zero or a number from 1 to 10 and q = zero or a number from 1 to 10, is reacted, optionally at elevated temperature in the absence of water, with chlorine, bromine, iodine or at least one compound which, under the reaction conditions, generates these halogens, optionally in the presence of an aprotic solvent, compounds being formed which contain the halogen used for the reaction instead of the COOH group. The latter compounds are useful intermediates. They can additionally be used as laser medium, for blood substitute emulsions and as special inert fluids, for example for medicinal purposes. |
