In doors which are connected pivotably movably to the door frame via hinges, floor-mounted door closers are used which are connected, via a pivoting arm connected to their closer shaft, to the door wing via a sliding block, in that the latter engages into a guide rail fixed to the door wing. In this arrangement, although a centre offset between the hinges and the closer axis plays no part, nevertheless the opening range of the door wing is limited, since the closer arm prevents the door wing from opening beyond approximately 90@. The pivoting lever is to be designed in such a way that the door closer can be arranged with its closer axis approximately in line with the axis of rotation of the hinges, without centre deviations of the axis of rotation resulting in constraining forces, and the door wing can be pivoted into the open position over the full opening range of approximately 180@. An intermediate member compensating the centre offset is inserted between the driving pin and the driving lug of the pivoting lever. An intermediate member of this type allows the door wing to be opened over approximately 180@ and prevents constraining forces from occurring as a result of assembly-related and production-related dimensional deviations of the longitudinal centres of ranges and of the longitudinal centre of the closer shaft of the door closer.
