An electrical component, in particular a minature relay having fixed and movable contacts, is made from a lead frame (10) formed with a plurality of conductive fingers and on which is moulded an insulating base (32). Some of the fingers (64, 66) are bent downwards for connecting to a printed circuit board, while others (68, 70; 88 to 94) are bent up to form supports for the contacts (24, 26) or other structure. A second lead frame (34) may be laid orthogonally over the first lead frame for attaching spring arms (36, 38) to fingers (68, 70) before they are bent up. |
