The invention relates to an alignment and aiming device (10) for golf clubs (1), consisting of a rod (11), which can be fixed to the golf club (1) by means of a mounting (14) in a manner such that the rod (11) is aligned perpendicularly to the driving surface (4) of the club head (3). In this arrangement, the mounting (14) is so designed that the angular setting of the rod (11) perpendicularly to the driving surface (4) of the club head (3) is automatically predetermined. Advantageously, the mounting (14) is designed to be vertically displaceable and laterally adjustable. In a further embodiment, the alignment and aiming device (10) consists of a crossbar (12) which can be fixed to a leg by means of a suitable mounting (14) on the lower part of the club shaft (2). In an advantageous manner, the rods (11) consist of coloured, transparent plastic material, preferably acrylic glass, optionally dyed with a fluorescent dye. The rods (11), however, also have a section of opaque material (20) which consists, for example, of a layer applied substantially on one side to the rods (11).
