The hull has a deck (8), an ice stem (16), stern propulsion devices (18) and rudder systems (20). In addition, the ship is equipped with an additional rudder system (26) and an additional bow jet thruster (22) containing shipboard water ducts (25) that are diverted upwards from the horizontal. The hull (1) possesses an extended attachment (23) located behind the ice stem (16). The additional bow jet thruster (22) mentioned is installed in this attachment (23). The stern (5) is fitted near the bottom (2) with external longitudinal ribs (28) that are attached behind the stern propulsion devices (18). These stern propulsion devices (18) are located ahead of the aft perpendicular (19), at a distance of at least approximately twice the frame spacing (A) on the lines drawing of the hull (1). The lines of the hull (1) at the stern (5) are designed so that they will fit inside the dimensions of the hull (1). <IMAGE>
