A protective helmet with a heatable visor (2) is described. In order to guarantee a secure contact of the heating wires (6) with a current supply (9), the invention provides a support plate (7). This support plate (7) is in flat connection with the heating visor and contacts the heating wires (6) on its inner side. A plug connection (socket 8, plug 11) is provided on its outer side.
