<p>A positioning device for two components to be mated, one of which has a projecting tapering positioning element which on mating penetrates a recess in the other component, the recess being deformed in the process. Deformation is achieved principally by bending in the axial direction. Application to tensioning and positioning of pallets, jig pallets, and workpieces, and as standard elements in the construction of jigs and tools, and mechanical engineering in general.</p> |
