<p>This disclosure concerns an apparatus for draining the water from a waterbed. A low voltage electrical pump (1) is provided having a side outlet tube (2) and a bottom inlet tube (3) integrally formed with the body of the pumping mechanism. The lower inlet tube is tapered downwardly and inwardly to facilitate insertion of the inlet tube into the standard waterbed filler neck (13). The inlet tube also has a plurality of open ended slots (6) at the bottom thereof adapted for particular use on a waterbed and a nut (14) that is used to tighten the inlet tube to the filler neck. The pump body has a removable base (5) that can be removed during the procedure of attaching the pump to the filler neck yet replaced thereafter so as to facilitate attaching the pump to the filler neck. The base also suitably supports the pump in an upright position during the actual pumping procedures.</p> |
