<p>A restraint device mountable directly onto a flange of a flanged support to form a force restraint system therewith, comprises planar surface elements (10, 12) locatable directly onto a flange or flanges at a required position. The support elements are pivotally connected to one another for movement relative to one another in the plane of the elements and each element carries a clamp arm (16) with a clamping bolt (26) whereby the device may be clamped to the flange or flanges in a firm non-tilting manner. The pivotal connection (14) between the surface elements (10) and (12) enables the clamp arms (16) to be movable between operative and inoperative positions whereby the device may be directly mounted on or removed from the beam flange or flanges at the required position thereon.</p> |
