<p>An autoclave of horizontal axis for sterilisation by steam injection comprising an enclosure (3) equipped with a leakproof door (8), a steam supply arrangement (20, 22, 23), a compressed-air supply arrangement (32, 34, 36, 64), a motor (39)/ventilator (38) assembly for accelerating the air/steam mixing, a vent (40) with safety valve (41) for removing the ambient air, an outlet (42) for the condensates (29) connected to a closed cooling circuit (43, 49, 54, 55, 56, 57, 58) provided with an external cold water inlet (45) and a heat exchanger (60) for recovering the calories of the condensates (29) and for accelerating the cooling process, and comprising a compressed-air circuit (34, 35, 36, 37, 64) housed in the enclosure (3) and of which the compressed air, channelled in the said circuit (34, 35, 36, 37, 64) from the start of the sterilisation, is reheated by the temperature prevailing in the enclosure (3) and is then injected into the volume of the enclosure (3). <IMAGE></p> |
