<p>Igniter for a pyrotechnic generator, comprising control means and pyrotechnic generator-priming means triggered by the control means. The latter are of the projected-layer type. The pyrotechnic priming means comprise at least two layers (4A and 4B) of pyrotechnic compositions, the first being sensitive to the impact of the projected chaff, the second being intended to act directly on the generator. The initiation of the igniter is caused by a strong pulse, either electrical or luminous, passing through said conductor.
