<p>A wire is wound into a coil form from a wrapping mechanism either onto a conventional reel or onto a core of a reelless coil with one twist per convolution. Upon the subsequent removal from the reel or reelless coil in an at rest position, by utilizing a wire dispensing apparatus having a flying pick-up arm over the side of the coil, each convolution of the removed wire possesses zero twist. Because the core of the reelless coil continually supports the coil until it is unwound, snags and tangles are substantially minimized during the removal of the wire and a twist-free substantially snag-free wire product is provided.</p> |
