PURPOSE:To use memory storage capacity without any waste and to shorten a data processing time by storing only the data of the reading width of a necessary vertical line into a memory. CONSTITUTION:An image detecting part 1 synchronizes detected data with a signal clock for synchronization from a clock terminal and sends them from a data terminal. A data processing part 2 discriminates data outputted by the detecting part 1, executes serial-parallel-conversion into the data to be written into a memory 3, and transfer the data to the memory 3. The memory 3 stores the data transferred from the processing part 2. A vertical dot number designating circuit 4 transfers the reading width of a designated vertical line, namely, data up to a designated vertical dot number (m) to the memory 3 and sends to the processing part 2 a control signal to control so as not to transfer data (m+1-n, where (n) is the number of dots for one line) except for the designation to the memory 3. Thus, data to exceed the reading width of a necessary vertical line are eliminated. |
