PURPOSE:To discriminate the suitability of a paid out printing medium and to conduct an issue control by reference to a table, by providing the printing medium on which a bar code pattern corresponding to identifying information is printed and the table collating the identifying information with form information and form data. CONSTITUTION:A bar code pattern 70 representing the type of a document original 9 is previously printed in position. The bar code pattern is read by a bar code reader 17 at a position where the original 9 is paid out from a hopper to recognize identifying information 71 of the document original 9. The read identifying information 71 is collated with identifying information 71a informed from a host device. After the coincidence, a medium information table 51 is retrieved, and form information t1 and form number data 60 are informed to a carry control part 6 and a printing control par 4; then, a document is issued. On the other hand, if the coincidence was not obtained in the collation, the data is rejected, and the process is repeated again the issue is interrupted. Because an error in setting the document original 9 to the hopper 9 can be identified and various document originals 9 which are similarly preprinted with different form data can be set to the same hopper, issue control can be simplified.
