PURPOSE:To perform the measurement of blood pressure and the calculation of the modulus of elasticity of a blood vessel with good accuracy by an intravascular method, by integrally forming a blood pressure sensor and an ultrasonic vibrator part at the leading end part of a catheter. CONSTITUTION:An intravascular ultrasonic transducer 12 consists of the catheter 22 inserted in a blood vessel 21, the vibrator support member 24 protruding from the guide passage 23 in the catheter 22, the ultrasonic vibrator part 25 mounted to said support member 24, the guide 26 of the support member 24 mounted to the leading end of the support member 24, the blood pressure measuring sensor 27 provided to the leading end of the catheter 22 and the strain pressure gauge 28 formed to the rear end of the catheter 22. The support mechanism part 31 for closely bringing the ultrasonic vibrator part 25 into contact with the inner surface of the wall 29 of the blood vessel 21 is formed to the support member 24.
