NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formula I. USE:Insecticide for agricultural vermin. It has strong insecticidal activity. PREPARATION:The objective compound can be produced by (1) subjecting 2,3,5-tri-0-benzoyl-ribofuranosyl azide of formula II (Bz is benzoyl) to catalytic reduction in the presence of a catalyst [e.g. platinum (IV) oxide or palladium black] and a solvent (e.g. ethyl acetate or ethanol), (2) reacting the product with 4,6-dichloro-5-nitropyrimidine of formula III in a solvent (e.g. a mixture of DMF and triethylamine or a mixture of DMF, triethylamine and 4- dimethylaminopyridine) and (3) converting the chlorine group of the resultant intermediate compound of formula IV, i.e. 6-chloro,5-nitro-4-imino[2',3',5'-tri-0- benzoyl-ribofuranosyl]-pyrimidine to amino group and, at the same time, subjecting the intermediate to solvolysis reaction.
