PURPOSE:To provide a high quality film with small crystal grain size and high critical current density by adding one or more sorts of rare metal selected among Au, Pt, Pd, Hg, Ag when a certain superconductor of oxide type is turned into film. CONSTITUTION:50 atom% or less of rare metal is added when a superconductor of oxide type is turned into a film, wherein the superconductor is such as expressed by the equation given beside, where 0<X<1, 1<=Y<=2, 2<=Z<=4, and M1 is one or more sorts of metal selected from No.III group (Sc, Y, La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Pm, Yb, Lu, B, Al, Ga, In, Tl, Es), while M2 one or more sorts of metal selected from No.II group (Be, Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba, Zn, Cd, Cf). Rare metal shall be of one or more sorts of Au, Pt, Pd, Hg, Ag, and addition of rare metal suppresses crystal growth at the time of film growing to a certain degree. This accomplishes a good film with high transfer temp. and great critical current density even with smaller crystal grain sizes.
