PURPOSE:To have a superconductive wire with excellent flexibility by using a folded-back tape-shaped conductor as a support for superconductor. CONSTITUTION:End face of a tape-shaped conductor 3 is folded back in such a way as wrapping a superconductor 2 sintered on the tape, and a superconductive wire 1 is accomplished. Besides steel tape having particularly large rigidity, also Ag or Au can be used to the tape-shaped conductor 3, and as the superconductive conductor 2 a composite oxide of copper is used which has high superconduction transfer temp. This superconductive wire is very thin in the superconductor part, and the superconductor 2 is arranged in the center in the tape thickness direction, so that strain by bending can be lessened to a great extent, and thereby fracture of the superconductor 2 as brittle sub stance becomes unliable to occur. This accomplishes a superconductive wire with easy coiling and good easy-to-handle characteristic.
