PURPOSE:To obtain a polyester polymer composition having excellent heat- resistance, flame-retardancy and moldability, by compounding a thermotropic liquid crystal polyester with an amorphous polyethylene terephthalate copolyester. CONSTITUTION:The objective polyester polymer composition is produced by uniformly mixing (A) a thermotropic liquid crystal polyester having an intrinsic viscosity of >=0.5, preferably 1-10, preferably a thermotropic liquid crystal random copolyester composed mainly of the units of formula I-formula III (Ar<1> is trivalent aromatic group; Ar<2> and Ar<3> are bivalent aromatic group) wherein the molar ratio of the unit of formula I to the unit of formula II is 1/1 and that of the formula I to the formula III is 5/95-95/5 and (B) an amorphous polyethylene terephthalate copolyester copolymerized with a third component, preferably copolymerized with about 40mol.% of isophthalate component at a weight ratio (A/B) of 80/20-50/50. The mixing of the components is carried out e.g. by solution blending process.
