PURPOSE:To use inexpensive color photographic paper so as to enhance cost- down and to prevent the effect of shading by picking up a color slide with a television camera, displaying it on a CRT for exposure as a negative image, and printing it on the color photographic paper. CONSTITUTION:The color slide 13 is converted into three-color image signals with a color television camera 15 and written in a frame memory 19. Next, the signals are simultaneously read out and corrected in a gradation correction circuit 22 so as to display a positive image on a color monitor 23. After confirming the image on the monitor 23, the signal read out from the memory 19 is positively and negatively inverted in the circuit 22 and transmitted to a monochromatic CRT 29 for exposure so as to sequentially display red, green, blue images in monochromatic images. Filter driving parts 35-37 insert corresponding color filters 31-33 into a printing optical path 39 in order to convert the monochromatic image into the color image to print on the color photographic paper 21. Thus, the inexpensive color photographic paper can be used and printing without the effect of shading can be obtained.
