PURPOSE:To reduce image defects of a photosensitive body and to improve its characteristics by forming an electric generating layer specified in layer thickness containing a specified amount of a carrier generating material and also a carrier transfer material. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive body is obtained by laminating on a conductive base body 1 the carrier generating layer 2 having >=1mum thickness and containing the carrier generating material 10, such as a compound of formula I and a binder, such as polycarbonate, in a material 10 to binder ratio of <=1/2, and also the carrier transfer material, such as a compound of formula II, in the same layer 2, and a carrier transfer layer 4 containing the carrier transfer material, such as the compound of formula II, thus permitting the obtained photosensitive body to be small in an amount of image defects, such as black spot and good in characteristics, such as sensitivity, residual potential resistance, and repetition fatigue resistance. |
