PURPOSE:To obtain an agricultural and horticultural germicidal composition, containing an imidazole based germicide, etc., and novel substituted benzene derivative as active ingredients, capable of exhibiting excellent controlling effects on disease damage in a small amount of chemical than that in using the single ingredients by synergistic effects and useful for plant disease damage by plant pathogenic germs. CONSTITUTION:An agricultural and horticultural germicidal composition, obtained by blending one or more selected from benzimidazole based germicides, such as a compound expressed by formula I, thiophanate based germicides, such as a compound expressed by formula II, and cyclic imide based germicides, such as a compound expressed by formula III, capable of exhibiting germicidal effects on chemical-resistance germs with a novel substituted benzene derivative expressed by formula IV [X is halogen; Y is 1-4C alkyl, 2-4C alkenyl, 1-3C alkoxy, 3-4C alkenyloxy, etc., or 1-3C alkoxy substituted by halogen, 1-3C alkoxy and alkanoyl, cyano, hydroxycarbonyl, etc., formula V (R<2> is 1-3C alkyl, 3-4C alkenyl, etc.), formula VI (R<2> is cyano, methoxycarbonyl, etc.), formula VII (R<3> is dimethylamino or phenyl), etc.] and containing the resultant blend as an active ingredient. |
