PURPOSE:To surely read out and write information and to prevent magnetic head from the generation of damage or fault by arranging a supporting body for pressing a magnetic card to a rotating magnetic head from its rear face and forming a space for escaping the contact pressure of the magnetic head on the contact face of the supporting body with the magnetic card. CONSTITUTION:In a magnetic card information recorder capable of recording information from the magnetic card 1 obtained by forming a magnetic recording bans 2 on a thin plane-like carrier by the rotating magnetic head 24, the supporting body 42 for pressing the magnetic card 1 to the rotating magnetic head 24 from its rear face and the space 59 for escaping the contact pressure of the head 24 is formed on the contact face of the supporting body with the card 1. Consequently, the head 24 can be contacted with the stripe 2 always at the fixed pressure, and when unnecessary force is applied, the head 24 is deformed in a groove 59 direction by its elasticity, so that the rotary head 24 can be prevented from the generation of damage or abrasion.
